About the CRTC...

The mission of the Central Regional Trials Championship Series (CRTC) is to provide riders with the opportunity to develop and measure their skills against riders from other clubs within the region.  The series has been going on now for approximately 25 plus years; it consists of 8 rounds ridden through 4 two-day events.  The participating CRTC clubs are Mid America Trials Team (MATT),  Ark Valley Trials Association (AVTA), Northeast Oklahoma Trials Team (NEOTT), and the North Texas Trials Association (NTTA). 

The series has historically been held from the middle of September into the first week of November across four states (Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, & Kansas).  The CRTC series works to emphasize fun and camaraderie amongst trials riders throughout the region while promoting the sport of Observed Trials.  Each club hosts a dinner following the Saturday event and there is usually some form of entertainment that follows.  Many riders campout at each event adding to the experience – like all trials events, the CRTC is a Rain or Shine series (that means no whiners).

Here are some general highlights of the series: 

• AMA membership is not a requirement at the Octobertest! 
• All participating clubs observe the NATC rules for scoring, we do not observe the same time limits as the NATC.
• Riders must enter the series, (separate from event entry), prior to riding the event.
• The best six of eight rounds total will be scored for the series awards.
• Points for the series championship are awarded similar to the NATC series.

Note: Since not all riders competing at each event are entered in the series,

          points are awarded to the highest placing contestant in the series as

          1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, etc.           

• Each club is responsible for section and course marking at their own event.
• Classes in the series are; Rookie, Novice, Amateur, Sr. Amateur, Intermediate, Sr. Expert, Expert, and Master. Cadet, (Youth), sections are required at all events but not scored for series awards. 

                         ***Note: Riders are expected to enter the class that they contest at the local level.
